Eligibility
You may request a refund if we cancel an intake, if we cannot provide the live sessions named in the confirmation, or if you cancel within the cooling-off window below. Employer-paid seats require the original paying entity to make the request. Open Ledger renewals already consumed for more than 30 days of library access are treated under partial rules, not a full return.
Timeframe
Consumers in the United Kingdom who contract at a distance may cancel a confirmed seat within 14 days of the confirmation email, unless live teaching or library access has been expressly requested to begin inside that window. After teaching week one of Studio Bench has occurred, cooling-off no longer yields a full refund. Patron Circle follows the same 14-day starting gun, measured from confirmation, not from the first desk.
Full or partial refund
Full refund: we cancel the intake; we materially change the instructor without offering a later bench; or you cancel inside cooling-off with no sessions attended and no library credentials used. Partial refund: you withdraw after week one and before week five of Studio Bench — we retain 35% of the seat fee for marking already done and return the rest. After week five, fees are not returned except where United Kingdom consumer law still requires it. Patron Circle partials are calculated on unused desk months, less one month’s notice.
Non-refundable items
Visiting-mentor travel we booked at your written request, printed materials already posted, and third-party examination fees (we rarely use them) are not returned. A completed Open Ledger year is not refundable because the library was available. Gift seats transferred to another named person cannot be cashed out by the giver after the transfer email is sent.
Refund process
Write to info@stream-kernelcore.digital with the confirmation reference, the seat name, and whether you seek cooling-off, withdrawal, or a studio-caused cancellation. We acknowledge within two working days and say which rule applies. We may ask for the last four characters of the paying account so we return funds to the origin.
Processing time and method
Approved refunds leave our account within 14 days of the approval note. They travel by the original bank transfer or the original card acquirer if an invoice was settled that way. We do not refund in studio credit unless you ask for credit in writing. Currency is pounds sterling; we are not responsible for your bank’s incoming fees.
Cancellation by you or by us
You may cancel a future intake with notice; the partial schedule above applies. We may cancel an intake if fewer than six Studio Bench seats confirm — in that case you receive a full refund or a transfer to the next dated bench, your choice. We do not cancel to manufacture scarcity; if a bench is full we say so plainly and keep a dated list rather than a countdown.
Exceptions
If illness or a protected reason under United Kingdom law prevents attendance, write to us. We prefer deferral to the next intake over a dispute. Chargebacks opened without first writing to the desk delay our ability to help and may pause library access until the dispute is closed. Statutory rights remain unaffected.
